Bishopric Message
As we enter this Christmas season, I hope we can each take a moment to slow down and feel the peace that comes from remembering the Savior. Amid the lights, gatherings, and traditions we enjoy, the true Light of this season is Jesus Christ. He is the source of the hope and joy we feel at Christmas.
Christmas is a time to reflect on the miraculous gift our Heavenly Father gave us—His Only Begotten Son. The birth of Christ in Bethlehem marked the beginning of a life dedicated to love, service, healing, and ultimately the Atonement.
As we celebrate this sacred season, I also invite you to reflect upon the recent opportunity we had to hear from Elder Patrick Kearon at Stake Conference. At the conclusion of the meeting, he offered an apostolic blessing for our stake. In that blessing, he called us his friends and blessed those who are searching to understand truth, that they would be able to find it. He blessed us with strength, relief from pain and sin, and that we would see the world more brightly. He blessed us that we would be able to love more generously and abundantly and receive love from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
As you reflect on his message and blessing, I pray that we can all feel our Heavenly Father’s love this Christmas season and share that love with those around us.
Love,
Bishop Royer
